7-FISH CATCH CONCLUDES BOATHOUSE WINTER TICKET
Dave Watson signed off his winter ticket on the Boathouse Fisheries with a seven-fish catch that included a 33lb 8oz bruiser of a mirror, some lovely originals and a few cracking stockies.
After a relatively frustrating winter caused by the weather, Dave was chuffed to get in one final session and make it count, utilising our new Sweet Cayenne Pepper liquid to get the fish on to his baited area in the coloured water.
Dave said: “What a great way to finish my winter ticket over on the Boathouse. Admittedly, it has been tough, as every time I headed up there it was either flooded out or the wet weather had turned the water chocolate, but with the weather front coming in towards the end of this week, I just had to get up there.
“I was so glad I made the effort, landing seven fish over the course of a few days, with the biggest being a 33lb 8oz brute of a mirror, backed up by some beautiful originals and stockies to 25lb.
“Secret 7 Corker wafters tipped with pink Half Tones fished on slip-D rigs with small mesh bags of Crayfish Mini Mix pellets were fished over a bed of Bug crumb and 12mm S7 boilies, all mixed in with some of the new Sweet Cayenne Pepper liquid and a few handfuls of casters.”
