“GOBSMACKED” BY BIGGEST CARP IN LAKE!
The last thing Alex Reid expected when he visited his Surrey syndicate between Christmas and New Year was to land the biggest fish in the lake, but that’s what happened!
Alex explains: “Twenty-four hours into a 48-hour session, I spotted some signs of fish at range and applied 20 Spombs of Crayfish Mini Mix pellets and hemp over a silty plateau. I put a slip-D rig baited with a Bug Corker wafter over the top and at six o’clock the next morning, the rod burst into action! Lo and behold, I was connected to the biggest fish in the lake! After a lengthy 30-minute battle, the lake-record fish graced my net. I was gobsmacked at this for a December result!”
The 36lb 2oz common was tempted on a Bug Corker wafter that Alex fished over his baited area.
