KINGSMEAD FORTY ON SMOKE DEBUT!
Roger Bacon’s first outing with the Amino Smoke saw him get through to seven fish on one of the country’s premier big-fish waters, Kingsmead 1 on the Horton complex.
The highlight of the trip was a 43lb 2oz mirror, which was backed up by half a dozen fish between low and upper twenties.
With Kingsmead 1 being the sort of venue where carp give themselves away fairly regularly, either by showing or bubbling, Roger decided to target them individually rather than by baiting an area.
He created a mix of Crayfish Mini Mix pellets, Insect Meal and Bug Amino Smoke and tied up a selection of PVA bags, which he would cast at any signs of carp. Before casting out, he would also give the bags an extra injection of Smoke.
His tactics paid off handsomely!
