MAY IS THE BEST MONTH TO GO CARP FISHING!
You’d be crazy not to be out carp fishing this month, is the opinion of Simon Crow, who considers May as the best month of the year – and it could be about to kick off big time!
Crowy said: “In my opinion, May is the best month to go carp fishing in the UK. It’s the time when all of the big carp usually make an appearance. However, I can’t help thinking we need a bit of warmer weather to really kick things off this year. Water temperatures are still a degree or so down on the waters I fish.
“With warmer weather due this coming week, hopefully we’ll see things pick up in the next few days. Good luck if you’re out on the bank this coming Bank Holiday. Here’s a pic of a lovely 35lb common from a recent trip to my Lincs. syndicate. As usual, it fell for a braided hooklink rig and an SLK Corker wafter.”
