RIGHT BAIT, RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME
The right bait in the right place resulted in the capture of this 34lb 4oz mirror for Simon Hopkins from Milton Keynes during a morning session on his club lake.
Arriving at the lake at first light, Simon’s tactic was to locate the carp and cast a bait at them. He moved swim twice in the first hour, before casting a 15mm Bug pop-up on a chod rig to a fish showing just on the wind line.
An hour later, the rod was away and the result was this mid-thirty cracker.
