ROGER GETS THE BUG – LITERALLY!
A mystery sickness bug threatened to ruin Roger Bacon’s latest trip to the Grenville Lake syndicate in Cambridgeshire, but he managed to rally and record a six-fish hit.
The bug was so bad, Roger was confined to his bivvy for 24 hours, either throwing up or sleeping it off!
However, either side of being bivvy-bound, Roger managed to pick off some fish, having targeted spots at range with a combination of 8mm and 12mm Bug and S7 boilies pre-soaked in Bug Liquid Food 48 hours before his session.
The highlight of the trip was a 48lb 12oz mirror, backed up by a 44-pounder and a 38lb scaly.
Pink Peril pop-ups on Roger’s long blow-back rigs accounted for all the fish.
