SECOND TARGET FISH IN AS MANY SESSIONS!

On the back of a four-fish catch from his 36-acre Lincolnshire reservoir, Gaz West couldn’t wait to get back down for another go!
Setting up in the same swim as before and adopting the same tactics, Gaz went on to bag himself another of the lake’s jewels, a very special scaly mirror of 28lb 8oz and his second target fish in as many sessions.
The 39-year-old from Grimsby said: “I turned up just as the light was fading and knew I wouldn’t have time to walk the res, so I went off my gut instinct. With a fresh northerly wind blowing and all the rain we’d had from the previous two days, I dropped back into the same swim I had the hit of fish from on my last session.
“I figured all that fresh water pouring into the res combined with wind pushing right into the bay again, it would be my best bet. Obviously, I knew I had to fish the spot from the previous trip, which made things much easier this time round. I managed to get two rods on the spot, which had grown from my last visit, doubling my chances of a bite!
“I went in with the same rigs and same bait and got the traps set for morning bite time. Like clockwork, the rod ripped round the next morning and I was hooked into one – I couldn’t believe my luck! After a good scrap, I slipped the net under another mint scaly mirror and another target fish. Two sessions and two sought-after jewels from the Res. How about that!”
The deadly Crayfish wafters did the business again for Gaz, presented over a mixture of chopped and whole Bug and Secret 7 boilies soaked in Calanus Hydro, Hydro Wheat and Secret 7 Hydro Spod Syrup.
