STARTING THE YEAR WITH A BANG-ER!
Dave Gostelow would have struggled to pick out a nicer-looking fish to start the year than this lovely, dark scaly mirror.
The North West-based angler opted to stay local for what was his first session in over a month and had to work hard for it, moving lakes in the dark in an attempt to get on the fish.
Rigging up with a whittled-down pink Secret 7 Half Tones wafter in conjunction with a small bed of Bug crumb and Crayfish Mini Mix pellets, Dave decided to keep the baiting light, introducing just two Spombs of 12mm Bug boilies, Bug pellets, corn and Bug Hydro Spod Syrup.
