WHARF’S BIGGEST FALLS TO THE BUG!
There is nothing quite like an urban backdrop for a catch photo, and the Wharf in Cardiff is about as urban is it comes!
Thomas Whitehouse was fishing the dockland venue recently when he smashed his personal best with the lake’s largest resident, the lump of a mirror known as Ebenezer, which tipped the scales at 45lb 3oz.
Thomas said: “The session started off slowly, with a cold northerly wind hacking down the lake. The next morning the wind swung round and started pushing the other way, bringing the fish with it. I landed a small low-double mirror around 1am, then an hour later had this monster in my net!”
A Bug wafter fished in conjunction with a bag of Bug pellets and Bug crumb produced the bite for Tom.
