There are few better anglers capable of building a big hit of carp on a pressured day-ticket venue than Mark Bartlett. Bart heads to Mallard Lake on the Bluebell Lakes complex to demonstrate exactly how he does it. Bart talks accuracy, rigs and arguably the most important factor of all when it comes to big-hit carping, bait application. A fantastic insight into how and why Bart is one of the best in the business!

Whilst fishing down in Oxfordshire, the Linch Hill complex soon came on to Ting Tong’s radar, in particular Christchurch, home at the time to an amazing mirror known as Petals, along with many other stunning fish the lake continues to be renowned for, even to this day.

We begin with the story Jordan, a magnificent fully scaled mirror that lived in Hardwick Smiths on the Linear Fisheries complex, where a very raw Tong had to learn fast to keep pace with the likes of Linear legends, Ian Poole and Jon Finch.

The first episode of our brand-new series, ‘The 3 Dimensions’, in which you get to decide which bait Lee Morris and Mark Bartlett use – and get the chance to win that bait! Turning up to a lake without any clue as to what bait we’ll be using is a completely foreign concept to us all, but that’s what we’ll be asking of Mozza and Bart in this series. The question is, are they up to the challenge?

We bring our ‘Day Tripper’ series to a close with episode number seven, starring the one and only Mr Iain Macmillan. Ting Tong takes us to Cudmore Fisheries in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, a venue just a few miles from his house. Cudmore established its reputation on the match circuit, but these days is starting to cater more for specialist carp anglers, and it is one of the dedicated carp waters, Milo Lake, that Tong chooses for this session. Pink is the colour of the day for Tong – in more ways than one!

James Anderson takes the reins for the sixth and penultimate episode of our ‘Day Tripper’ series, which comes from Weybread Carp Fishery on the Norfolk and Suffolk border. Solid bags and bright hookbaits are the order of the day for James, as he tries to locate the whereabouts of the carp on this peaceful three-acre day-ticket water. When time is limited, being prepared can be a huge edge, as when you do locate the carp, being able to capitalise, and quickly, can soon turn one bite into two, or even three!

We’ve loved filming the ‘Day Tripper’ series this winter and have seen some great results in difficult circumstances. In episode five, Vinny Pritchard heads to a private Yorkshire venue where he blanked on a previous visit to try and put the lessons he learned into practice. As viewers of ‘Vinny’s Vlog’ will know, you can expect some great tips from Vinny, in particular a very crafty little edge with a solid bag!

In our second ‘Day Tripper’ episode of the week, we head down to Longbridge Lake in Hampshire, for a day with Lee ‘Mozza’ Morris and his able accomplice, son Theo. Many anglers have found themselves returning to venues they fished when they were younger over the past couple of months, and Mozza is no exception, as he is no stranger to this pretty little venue in the town of Romsey. The narrow nature of the venue gives Mozza the chance to get out his baiting pole, coupled with some fiendish solid bags. Check it out!

The first of a double ‘Day Tripper’ drop this week comes from the fantastic Elphicks Fishery in Kent, where local angler Olly Sanders goes in pursuit of a day-session 20-pounder. The North Lake and Pullens Lake are perhaps the two most notable lakes on this popular day-ticket complex, but with just a day session at his disposal, Olly opts to focus on Prairie Lake and Kettles Lake in the hope of nicking a bite or two. Look out for a great little PVA bag trick for use with the likes of a blow-back or slip-D rig.

The second episode of our ‘Day Tripper’ series sees England international, Luke Church, take a stroll down memory lane, as he visits Bradmoor Lakes in King’s Lynn.
