Filmed at the greatest carp lake in the UK, Grenville in Cambridgeshire, back in May 2021, this epic 106-minute carp-hauling fest sees Lee Morris, Mark Bartlett, Simon Crow and Roger Bacon enjoy the fishing session of a lifetime, landing an abundance of 40lb-plus carp and countless numbers of scaly mirror carp.

Nestled in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, Northey Park is one of the region’s most-coveted syndicate tickets, boasting a healthy stock of old English carp to more than 40lb. Yet it doesn’t give its stock up without some persuasion, as many members will testify, posing a significant challenge due to its shallow nature and huge weedbeds. We join Tony Payne on the banks of the venue for a session that sees him land one of the most-wanted fish in the lake. Tony also reviews some of his other successes, including his first UK forty, during what has been a memorable year on the venue. The Unwritten Chapters resumes with a 45-minute epic, as Iain Macmillan takes us back to 2005 and his first spell on the mighty Wellington Country Park, a venue that was to become synonymous with the big-carp scene over the next 10 years.

‘The Mindset’ returns for the first time in two years, as we once again turn our focus to the pursuit of big carp and the mindset required to target them.

‘The Unwritten Chapters’ resumes with chapter three, as Iain Macmillan gives us a broader overview of his time on Linch Hill, time shared with many of the sport’s more ‘underground’ and most recognisable names alike. Tong talks Willow Lake, or ‘Tea and Biscuits’, as it was known to members, and Christchurch Lake, or ‘Lager and Drugs’, a result of some of the shenanigans that used to take place at the time. Of course, there was also the carp. The Hamster, The Perch Common, The Big Fully, Single Scale, to name but a few.

A lot has happened since 23rd November 2018, the date we last aired an episode of the DNA Open-Access Series, and as we all know, not a lot of that has been good.
