Embryo Angling’s Roughs Lake syndicate in Peterbrough has a new lake record, thanks to the endeavours of Ricky Angell from Cranfield.
The 32-year-old recruitment was doing a two-night session on the 11-acre water when his short-range spots yielded a trio of fish, comprising two twenties and a record-busting 37lb 4oz common.
It was double a celebration for Ricky, as not only was the common a new lake record for the venue, but it was also his new personal best.
All three of Ricky’s fish were caught on 15mm SLK Corker pop-ups that he fished on spinner rigs over a bed of 15mm SLK freebies and Bug mini dumbbells that he soaked in SLK Hydro Spod Syrup and then covered in Insect Meal.
