FOUR THIRTIES TO 39LB 4OZ IN 14-FISH BLUE POOL HIT
Olly Sanders’ annual social on the beautiful Blue Pool in Burghfield saw him finish as top rod for the week, after landing four thirties to 39lb 4oz as part of a 14-fish haul!
Olly said: “Another great social trip I do with a few close mates every year which is always full of bites. I managed to be top rod this year with 14 fish, including four thirties to 39lb 4oz, with the rest mostly made up of good twenties and a couple of smaller ones.
“Having two separate spots rocking ensured the bites kept coming, with one spot fished in the margin and another on a silty area in open water. Baiting little and often with a mixture of Crayfish Mini and Maxi Mix pellets, broken Bug boilies and corn, with PB or Bug Half Tones wafters fished over the top, did the damage.”
